The Nutramist line of high performance ultrasonic foggers are designed for use in many horticultural applications including hydroponics, propagation, foliar feeding, growroom & greenhouse humidity generation, ultra low volume pesticide application and mycology. They operate by oscillating several small, teflon coated transducers at a frequency of approximately 2 MHZ or two million vibrations per second. At this frequency, water-based solutions (fed from an external reservoir to the Nutramist) are nebulized into a cool, dry fog that can be used to feed roots and leaves using an ultra low volume of water and nutrients. Rockwool
Today, rockwool (also known as stonewool) is the growing media of choice for commercial and amateur indoor and greenhouse hydroponic gardeners. Made from molten rock spun into fibres as it cools. It is sterile, and very porous, holding up to 80% water by volume. Requires some pH adjustment. Suitable for growing in almost all hydroponic systems. Easy to use. A 1.4" (40 mm) propagation cube, for example, fits into the hole in the 3” (7 cm) or 4” (10 cm) cube for fast and simple transplants.
Clay Pellets
These attractive smooth brown clay pellets, man-made and fired in high temperature kilns, are the universal choice for growing houseplants in hydroculture systems. Also widely used in hydroponic installations including trickle irrigation, flood and drain etc. Porous, pH neutral, sterile, clean and can be reused.
